Rights and Responsibilities
FT2 actively pursues a policy of Equal Opportunity in the operation, administration and management of the organisation and its training and assessment provision:
- FT2 believes that all employees (full-, part-time and freelance NVQ Assessors), trainees, apprentices and freelance candidates have a right to be treated with dignity and respect at work and that racism, sexism and sexual harassment, physical and verbal violence is insulting and demeaning.
- FT2 fully recognises that discrimination and harassment is unlawful and will not be permitted or condoned in the workplace.
- FT2’s Director and staff have a positive duty to implement the Equal Opportunities Policy and Procedures to safeguard all personnel at all times and failure to do so will be considered a failure to fulfil all the responsibilities of their positions. Such conduct will be treated as a serious disciplinary offence.
- FT2 stresses that where any member of the organisation has acted in a discriminatory way that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken and that the perpetrator(s) may be held personally liable in the event of legal proceedings.
- FT2 recognises that where personnel are attached to external organisations for the purposes of training and NVQ assessment that its obligations under the Equal Opportunities Policy and Procedures apply.
- Moreover, FT2 assures all personnel that they need not fear victimisation for bringing a complaint of discrimination of any nature.
