Employment Opportunities
It is estimated that about 70% of people working in the film and television industry are employed on short freelance contracts. Contracts can be anything from 1 day to several months. Full time permanently employed positions are rare. FT2 trains people to work as freelance crew.
The current minimum freelance weekly rate in the BECTU/PACT agreement for a 2nd Assistant Editor is £315.
