Art Department Assistant
The Art Department Assistant helps the Production Designer and Art Director with the design and realisation of the set. They may be required to do set drawings, copy and distribute plans, organise the art department and make sure supplies are ordered. The duties will vary depending on the production.
For example an Art Department Assistant may be asked to do period research. They may assist with the finding/buying of props. They may be asked to assist with the making of props and computer graphics work. They may be asked to assist on the set during the final stages of construction and, during the filming, they may be required to assist the Set Dresser with dressing the set.
