Gez completed FT2 in 2000 as an Assistant Editor. He gives the following advice to people considering applying:
"I think FT2 is a fantastic opportunity for anybody who wants to break into the freelance world of film and television on the technical side. If your lucky enough to get onto the scheme, the training is fantastic, with it's combination of working on professional productions and top quality tutoring at places like V.E.T and the National Film School.
Because you get the opportunity to work on professional productions, you can make great contacts, which will come in use once the training is finished and your on the lookout for that first contract.
It requires you put in 100% effort and commitment and at times can be quite demanding, but ultimately it is very rewarding.
I would definatly recommend to anybody who wanted to work as a freelance technician, that they strongly think about applying to FT2.
As I have said before, It requires 100% effort and commitment, but ultimately it is very rewarding."
