1. 2 day Seminar for New Entrants - Working in the film/TV industry as a trainee
THIS COURSE HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

If so, this short course will give you the introduction to the industry you need.
The first day will give an overview of the production process, and information and advice about working as a trainee. Day 2 is a Film & TV industry health and safety certificate course. Health and safety is of paramount importance on a film/tv set and this course will give you an understanding of safe working practices and an introduction to risk assessment.

2. Film & Television – An Insider Guide to Working in the Industry

WHO IS THIS COURSE AIMED AT?
Teachers who wish to increase their knowledge of working in film and television.
A one day course to gain an in-depth understanding of current working practices in the film and television industry or, what you need to know to tell your students who want to work in film and television. This course is suitable for those new to the subject and for those teaching media who wish to enhance their knowledge of the practicalities of working in film and television.
The course will include:
• Overview of the film and television industry structures.
• The different stages of film and TV production and how the departments and job roles relate to each other. Skills needed for different jobs.
• Associated jobs and where they fit in. ie distribution and exhibition, animation, accountancy, law, insurance.
• New developments in the industry and how they impact on working practices.
• Routes in to the industry through training, work experience, jobs and contacts. What about industry qualifications?
• Working in the industry – the essentials for getting in and getting on.

3. ARCHIVE SECTOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
This training is provided by a partnership of FT2, VET, FOCAL International and the Indie Training Fund. It is supported by the Skillset Film Skills Fund with UK Film Council Lottery funding.
LEGACY FILM EQUIPMENT - 1 day masterclass Thursday, 4 FEBRUARY 2010 run by the Imperial War Museum, London SE11. Cost £75. THIS COURSE IS CANCELLED.
ARCHIVE RIGHTS – 1 day course Wednesday, 17 FEBRUARY 2010 run by the Indie Training Fund in London SE1. Cost £100.
